Why Blackout Equipment

Welcome to Blackout Equipment LLC, we are a Chicago located dealer of new and used CNC and manual metalworking machinery. Since our beginning in the machine tool world in 1981, field selling skills by face-to-face interaction was the norm. Recently, our team has traded shoe leather for laptops, to better communicate with and serve our customers.

With more than forty years of experience, we are well-versed in chip, fabrication, CNC, and manual machinery. We help customers—from start-ups buying their first machine to large corporations placing repeat orders—find the right equipment for their needs. Initial customer assistance generally consists of verifying that blueprints match the machine's capacity, confirming power requirements, and arranging an inspection visit, and it starts by listening to your requirements.

Our years in the business have also led us into the logistics world where a machine deal can turn sour if care is not taken in delivering it right to the customer’s door. We account for details, like knowing that the manuals of a used machine can be incredibly important to the end user’s maintenance staff. The machine tool requirements of a customer can mean searching beyond our borders and assisting with international logistics with our freight forwarding partner, dealing with customs, container type, drayage, insurance, and crating, ingredients of a pain free, successful transaction. With more than 40 years of experience, including time as an International Customer Service Manager, you gain awareness of potential issues that may arise.
